Minnamurra Falls, Budderoo National Park, Jamberoo, New South Wales, Australia
After driving around to several waterfalls and having no luck with heavy rainfall during the day, low clouds and terrible winds, Minnamurra Falls was my final chance to make the trip to New South Wales South Coast worthwhile. I was determined not to head back to Melbourne without any shots so was keen to give this waterfall a chance, despite the looming weather. Minnamurra Falls isn’t too far from Kiama.
I was thankful for the established walking track from the car park to the falls, as the ground was very slippery following the heavy rain and it was a significant walk of about 30 minutes each way. The walk is very beautiful as you walk through the national park.
Upon reaching the viewing deck at the base of the waterfall, I could sense the rain was about to return, so only had a few minutes to get the photo before I would be caught out in the rain.
I love this photograph, especially how the waterfall is framed by all of the luscious green ferns and plants.
