Description
Cradle Mountain National Park Star Trails – When you are surrounded by clear skies, in a remote location without any noise pollution from nearby cities or towns, the sky is amazing to behold.
This photograph was taken at Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain National Park Tasmania, and is a composition of 130 images that have been stacked to showcase the movement of stars as the earth rotates over a period of approximately 100 minutes. The centre of the photograph highlights the South Celestial Pole, hence the circle that is shown as the earth is rotating on this axis.
With thousands of likes on social media and positive comments, I felt like I had to make it available as a print. I hope you enjoy being mesmerized by this wonderful scene of the galaxy above Cradle Mountain.
