Glorious Morning

From $175.00 AUD

Description

Glorious Morning – Ayers Rock – After several visits to Ayers Rock for sunrise, each morning seemed to hold back its colours, leaving the sky a muted canvas. My hopes were set on witnessing a vibrant dawn, one where the sky would erupt in hues as the sun greeted the day. This particular morning, my prayers for clouds were answered, revealing a spectacle of nature’s artistry. The sky transformed dramatically as the sun began to edge above the horizon, casting a breathtaking array of golden rays and soft shades of pink.

Captured in this photograph is a moment where everything aligned perfectly – the sun’s ascent, the cloud formations, and the majestic presence of Uluru itself. As the first light touched the rock’s surface, it lit up the landscape, highlighting the unique textures and deep reds of this sacred monolith. The clouds, a rare sight in the arid desert, added a layer of depth and drama to the scene, creating a stunning contrast against the rock’s ancient face. I was able to slow the shutter speed down significantly through the use of my Nisi Filters over the lens, allowing for the dramatic clouds to be captured.

Uluru, standing tall and imposing, has been a spiritual and cultural landmark for the Anangu people for thousands of years. The interplay of light and shadow, the vibrant colours of the dawn sky, and the serene majesty of Uluru come together in a symphony of natural beauty.

This print offers more than just a glimpse of a sunrise; it’s a portal to the heart of Australia’s Red Centre, a chance to witness the transformative power of nature at one of its most iconic sites. Let this image be a reminder of the world’s hidden wonders, a piece that not only enhances your space at home or in the office but also invites reflection and inspiration with every view.

Metallic Paper – Print Only

Matt’s Limited Edition and Open Edition prints are printed on Chromajet Metallic Pearl produced on an Epson 9070 inkjet printer. Chromajet Metallic is a flat, stiff, middle-weight paper with a metallic effect gloss finish. The paper has a neutral white base and an instant dry, micro-porous coating. This paper has a wide colour gamut and a high D-MAX which delivers beautiful images, both in colour and B&W. It produces extended contrast, exceptional colours, deep blacks and clean whites. This technology results in what are arguably the highest quality photographic prints in the world.

There are two types of Acrylic Facemount options offered by Matthew Duke Photography.

Acrylic Facemount – Premium

Acrylic face mounting is one of the most impressive and striking ways to display your photographic print. Your print is mounted behind acrylic and the back is covered with specially treated aluminium. This process will completely protect your image from front to back. Your image is mounted edge to edge and creates a beautiful frameless finishes. Each piece is professionally finished with hand-polished edges. We use 4.5mm optically clear, Museum Grade Acrylic which has 99% UV protection.

Acrylic is extremely safe to use, as it is shatter resistant and provides exceptional protection from sunlight, weather and temperature extremes. Once hung, your print floats approximately 16mm off if you follow our simple instructions for hanging your new facemount. You can be assured that you will receive an absolutely perfect, high-quality finish. The result is truly spectacular.

Acrylic Facemount – Standard

For those on a limited budget, we have introduced this option to provide a high-quality product that is still affordable.

We still use a 4.5mm optically clear piece of Acrylic and the print is printed on a high-quality metallic paper. This option is much lighter than the Acrylic Facemount – Premium product as it uses a white vinyl backing instead of treated aluminium.

While the finish is not as premium, our customers are absolutely happy with this product. As the finished product is much lighter it is more cost-effective to ship and easier to hang when it arrives.

Canvas

Matt uses the highest quality Epson UltraChrome HDR inks and Hahnemühle Leonardo Canvas for his canvas prints. Each order is custom made to order by hand and will arrive assembled to the frame ready to hang. You will not be disappointed with the outstanding quality. Canvas prints are by special order only.
